Mission
The mission of G-Force Hockey is to break down negative stereotypes about gay athletes by enlightening the GLBT and mainstream communities as to the parity in skill, competitiveness, teamwork, pride and courage that exists between gay and heterosexual athletes.

By bringing the GLBT and mainstream communities together at the Friendship Cup hockey game and public forums held in conjunction with the game, and by participating as an openly gay team in mainstream tournaments, we will demonstrate to attendees, and propagate in the media, the reality that gay athletes not only compete on the same fields of play as heterosexual athletes, but they do so successfully every day. By doing so, we will also encourage more gay people and closeted gay athletes to compete openly in mainstream sports, especially gay youth.

RIP: Brendan Burke's death has left a void
A few select people on this earth illuminate. Brendan Burke, who died [last month] in a car accident, was one. At 21, Brendan was blazing a bright new trail for himself and other young gay hockey sportsmen like him. The lost potential is heartbreaking.

Oneonta Lacross Captain Comes Out
Andrew McIntosh flirted with suicidal thoughts just nine months ago. But after watching the movie 'Milk," he came out to his friends, coach and co-captains. Now he tells his coming-out story to help other gay athletes like him.
